Orders and priority
Player orders match by price then time, executing at the seller price. A limit order may fill now and leave a remainder. Buying through a selected book row reviews the cumulative executable prefix; it is different from entering a limit. Buy remainders escrow cash and sell remainders reserve goods. Cancellation returns the current remaining escrow or goods. Cancelling a sell order requires warehouse space for its entire current remaining quantity; partial cancellation is unavailable. Listing moved goods out of storage, so later receipts can consume the space needed to cancel.
A new placement can extend your latest still-open order at the exact same product, side and price if no intervening placement at that key prevents it. The original priority remains. Each confirmation retains its own requested amount and fills; the current combined order can change afterward.
Same-price examples
These examples use resting sell placements for the same product at the same price, with no immediate fills.
- A 30 t + A 30 t: if A's latest placement at that exact key is still open, the second placement extends it to 60 t. The original order keeps its time priority. Each receipt still describes its own 30 t request.
- A 30 t → B 20 t → A 40 t: A's new 40 t cannot merge backward through B's intervening placement. The book keeps A 30 t, B 20 t, A 40 t in that priority order.
- If B's intervening placement later fills or is cancelled, its history still intervenes. It does not let A jump backward through B to merge with A's older 30 t. A later same-key addition can extend A's newer open 40 t tail.
- Other products, prices or sides do not intervene at this exact key. A filled or cancelled candidate never reopens through a new placement.
The review can show both the current placement's fills/remainder and a separate combined-order state at confirmation. That combined state is not a promise that the live order will remain unchanged. Cancellation applies to the entire current remaining order, not just the last addition.
